In 1983, Nick’s father, Frank Bartolo, arrived in California from Connecticut with more than dreams of building pools—he had a vision for excellence. Starting with building pools, he established a reputation for reliability and expertise that laid the groundwork for something greater.
When Nick joined the family business, learning every aspect from electrical systems to plumbing, Smart Pool Solutions (DBA Freestyle Pools) was born. The emergence of smart pool technology presented a unique opportunity to transform from a traditional pool service provider into a tech-forward pool company specializing in automation, installation, and maintenance.
